Roadmap
A rough map of where Chordal is headed. Not a schedule, and not a promise.
Here is what we're building and thinking about next. Priorities move around, and some ideas won't make the cut. For what's already out, see the changelog.
Working on now
- More languages for code practice. The Developer category ships with Python; JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift, and more are next, with real snippets that keep their formatting.
- Choose your font. Pick the typeface lessons are shown in.
- More built-in layouts. Additional physical layouts on top of Dvorak, Colemak, Colemak-DH, and Workman.
Planned
- Layers. Practice nav, edit, and media layers on top of any base layout, the way Extend-style setups work.
- A practice scheduler. Sessions that plan themselves around what you should work on next.
- iPhone and iPad. Chordal on iOS and iPadOS.
Exploring
- Deeper hardware integration. We're researching ways for Chordal to work more directly with the keyboards themselves. Early days, no promises.
